The 4th annual Home and Garden Expo put on by the Asheville Home Builder’s Association is just around the corner. If you are not familiar or have never visited this expo before, we highly suggest you do. We are 1 of 4 Asheville painters will have a booth. You don’t need to be a homeowner or building a home to get some value out of this event. Many of the information you will gather can be incorporated into your condo, apartment or work space. Not only will you be able to gather information from every aspect of businesses related to your home and garden- you will have many chances to win some pretty awesome prizes and watch educational demonstrations from both local businesses and the DIY Network celebrity, Vicky Payne.
Vicki Payne host of For Your Home on the DIY Network. Vicki Payne teaches how to decorate, improve and enjoy your home. Her show features everything from entertaining to remodeling a 3 car garage attic into a home office, complete with a bathroom and kitchenette. Her presentations at the Home and Garden Expo include the latest interior trends and gardening techniques.
Other demonstrators include Gail Banner and Suzanne Wodek- Buncombe County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer, Jennifer Woodruff from Built It Naturally, Inc, Jeff Miser with Asheville Mulch Yard and Buddy Hughes with Logiz Insulated Concrete.
As 1 of 4 Asheville Painters at the Expo we will be displaying some of our work, cabinet makeovers and raffling off 2 great prizes. A FREE pressure washing ($450 value) and a FREE 12×12 room painting (walls only with 2 coats of Cashmere Flat,one color, $400 value). This is also the first year that they will be raffling off Play Houses built by students in Buncombe County High Schools. Raffle Tickets are $5 and the drawing will be on Sunday at 3 pm.
The Home and Garden Expo is Saturday April 20th from 10am-6pm and Sunday from 12-5. Tickets are $5 or you can get a combo ticket for $8 to include the Spring Market put on by the Junior League of Asheville in the next building. The Spring Market is full of local businesses, food trucks, live music and a Man Cave with Highland and Oskar Blue Breweries, so bring the man in your life!
